Loloma Hour - Vomo Fiji
Your invitation to join a shared purpose.

We proudly partner with Tourism Fiji to showcase our participation in the national Loloma Hour initiative — an invitation for guests to give back to Fiji in simple, powerful ways that leave a lasting impact.

Loloma (Love) is a doing word.

In Fiji, we believe generous actions can lead to genuine happiness. It’s not always what you receive but what you can give back in return. This does not always need to be material things. It can be as simple as sharing warmth, love and laughter to those around you.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll explore how a little help from you can bring you an incredible sense of meaning and happiness through positive environmental, cultural, and community activities.

How can you get involved?

Give Back to the Community. Tradition stands tall when you stand with it.

Connecting with Fiji’s vibrant and fascinating communities through our Village Tour experience is a meaningful way to get involved. Our village tours allow you to honour and help preserve our heritage. Guests are warmly welcomed into a nearby village for a special visit that includes the following…

  • A traditional cultural tour where you will learn about Fijian customs, stories, and a way of life unlike any other
  • The chance to witness or take part in a meke performance – a powerful display of storytelling through dance and song
  • Generous time to explore local handicraft stalls and markets, supporting local Fijian artisans through direct purchases
  • An opportunity to contribute to our Pack for a Purpose initiative, donating school supplies, clothing, and health items to families in the village

A little help helps a lot.

Every village tour helps sustain the proud traditions that make Fiji unique. It supports rural livelihoods, strengthens cultural identity, and ensures that the values of Loloma — love, care, and generosity — continue to be passed down through generations. This is Loloma in action. A small step from you, a meaningful impact on our community.

How to Get Involved

Participating is easy. Speak with the VOMO reception team or check the daily activity board to learn more about our Loloma Hour offerings. No special skills are required—only interest, openness, and a little time. Whether it’s sharing a smile in the village, enjoying the rhythm of a meke, or donating a small gift through Pack for a Purpose, an hour can help a culture stand tall.

More happiness to come!

Stay tuned for more from our Loloma Hour collection in the coming weeks. You can also learn more about this initiative from the Tourism Fiji Website.

Vinaka! The always happy VOMO Family.
