Explore Our Underwater Coral Gene Bank
Discover VOMO’s unique sculptural Coral Gene Bank—an art-meets-science installation submerged 18 feet underwater and spanning 60 feet. Created in partnership with Counting Coral to safeguard and regenerate local reefs, it now nurtures over 500 corals (as of February 2025) and serves as a living genetic repository and a vital component of our long-term conservation strategy, Vomo Island, Fiji.

- Reef Restoration Sculpture Scuba Dive
- When: Four days a week (subject to weather)
- Cost: USD 150 per person (includes a USD 25 donation to Counting Coral)
- Experience: Roll up your sleeves and assist our marine biologist in cleaning the stainless-steel structure, tending transplanted corals, and learning restoration techniques firsthand.
- Conservation & Marine Life Talks
- When: Twice weekly
- Experience: Join Lai, our resident marine biologist, for engaging talks on coral ecology, reef conservation, and sustainable practices that help protect VOMO’s vibrant underwater world.
