Island Roaming New Year’s Eve at VOMO (Recap)
We’ve returned to earth after an incredible festive season.
From December 3rd to now, we’ve celebrated VOMOlife with love, laughter and energy. What a joy to host our beautiful guests, and how proud we are of team VOMO.
After the electric energy, connection and joy, we’ve returned to a calmer island pace and look forward to an incredible 2026. Refurbishments, new service initiatives, ocean play offerings, and so much more are planned for our beautiful island home.
NYE recap…oh, what a night
We welcomed the new year by moving through the island, chapter by chapter. Golden hour began at The Rocks from 6:00 pm with champagne, canapés, and the VOMO Serenaders setting an easy rhythm.
Rain clouds in the distance brought one of the most beautiful VOMO sunsets. A painted sky, the perfect backdrop to the start of the evening. SEE IMAGES BELOW.
Under the palm forest, we wandered in wonder, with Mother Nature overseeing the festivities. Firelight, guitarist Matt Brooker, and earthier flavours. Small groups gathered close, the music energetic but unhurried.
Near midnight, all eyes were on a setting of sparkling white and gold. A last round was poured, the countdown rose, and fireworks drew clean lines across the horizon.
What a start to 2026.

At first light, yoga and meditation on the deck eased us into the year, followed by a beach BBQ at Yasawa and a mellow Sunset Session back at The Rocks.
A simple, grounded finish to a rhythmic night of love, laughter, and connection— soft rain and all.
