VOMO Medical Centre — On-Island Doctor 24/7
A fully qualified doctor is available 24 hours a day for guest care. Consultations are provided in the Medical Centre and, when appropriate, in-residence.
VOMO is one of only two private islands in Fiji maintain a 24/7 on-island doctor — providing you with genuine peace of mind for luxury family travel.
What we provide
- Assessment and initial management of non-life-threatening conditions (adults and children).
- Wound care, basic medications, and limited point-of-care testing (e.g., rapid antigen, glucose).
- Health advice on sun exposure, hydration, marine life precautions, and travel fitness.
- Coordination with mainland private clinics/hospitals and arranged medical transfers if needed.
What we do not provide
- Emergency department-level care, advanced imaging (X-ray/CT/MRI), or comprehensive laboratory diagnostics.
- Routine vaccination programs or chronic disease clinics.
- Guaranteed transfer times (transfers depend on weather and operator availability).
Testing & travel requirements
Entry/exit and airline testing requirements change over time. Your travel advisor and official government sources remain the definitive guidance. VOMO can arrange testing when required by an airline/destination, subject to availability and fees.
Accessing care
Contact your butler or the Arrival Area at any time. The doctor will advise whether a clinic visit or in-residence consultation is appropriate.
Fees & payment
Consultation fees apply; medications, tests, medical disposables, and any third-party services (e.g., transfers) are additional.
Charges are typically posted to your villa account.
Insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical care and evacuation in Fiji.
Consent & privacy
Treatment is provided with the guest’s consent. Medical information is handled confidentially in accordance with Fijian law and clinical standards.
Limitations & exclusions
Services may be limited by weather, supply availability, or circumstances beyond VOMO’s control. The Medical Centre does not replace emergency services.
