Fijian Village Experience
Immerse yourself in the real Fiji and visit one of our local villages.
A highlight for many guests is to visit a Fijian village in the islands. It’s around 30 minutes by VOMO speedboat to the island. On arrival, take a walk through the village to witness community life in an island village. Receive a traditional blessing from the Chief and tour the Chiefly Bure. There will be time to interact with the locals. As part of our Pack For A Purpose initiative, you are welcome to bring gift items from home to donate to the families in the village if you wish.

VOMO Tip: Suggested items to donate may include but are not limited to; quality second-hand fiction and non-fiction books for all ages, stationery, sports equipment, toiletries, clothing, handbags, overnight bags, and the like.
Village visit
Vomo Lailai Escape - Private Island Picnic
The entire tiny island of Vomo Lailai (Little Vomo) off the western side of VOMO can be all yours to enjoy a private picnic. Your island beach is set with sun loungers, towels, table and chairs, a picnic lunch hamper, and a selection of icy cold beverages. You’ll be transferred to your private island by boat and left to explore, swim, snorkel, and relax. Just call us on the two-way radio when you want to be ‘rescued’. This is a highly recommended excursion suitable for couples or families.

Lallai picnic
Moonlight Beach Dinner
Set on the soft sands on the beach front, dine under a canopy of stars and sand between your toes, at a decadent white clothed table. Your choice of daily changing three (3) course dinner menu with multiple selections or design your own menu with VOMO Chefs. From $75 per person.

Private Snorkel Lesson
If you are a beginner, we recommend private tuition to learn how to use snorkel equipment or just to improve your confidence navigating our VOMO reefs. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for advanced snorkelers to enjoy a privately guided excursion with our resident island experts to learn more about our pristine underwater environment.

VOMO Tip: Ask about our coral cookie planting initiative and maybe you can add your little piece of coral to help enhance our local reefs.
Snorkelling vomo island fiji
Manta Ray Experience
At VOMO, we are delighted to offer guests the opportunity to snorkel with the magnificent manta rays that travel through Yasawa Channel between the months of May and October each year. During this period, the manta rays come into the channel to feed and be cleaned.

- Diving is not permitted at this location.
- Duration: 1.5 hours. $1680 for a private tour of up to 4 people. Extra person $400.

Private Fishing Charter
Try your hand at fishing with our island experts at renowned local spots. Choose between hand lines or fishing rods.

Champagne Sunrise Breakfast on Mt VOMO
An invigorating early morning 2km hike (or we can drive you in our Bula Bus if you prefer) from your villa to the Yoga Deck on the eastern tip of VOMO island will be well worth the effort to be one of the first people in the world to witness the sunrise of a new day. With sensational views of the surrounding Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands and all the way back to the mainland of Viti Levu, the vistas are just breathtaking from this iconic location on the island.
You’ll also be rewarded with a delicious sunrise breakfast featuring fresh juices, island-baked pastries, and breakfast puddings. Perhaps indulge with a delicious bottle of Champagne to top off the morning. A truly special experience to celebrate VOMO life.

Sunrise breakfast atop mt vomo
Sunset Cruise
Take a late afternoon cruise around the glistening waters of VOMO and be ready to greet a golden sunset. We’ll provide the canapes to enjoy during your cruise.
- Duration: 2 hours. $275 minimum for 2 people. Extra person $100.
VOMO Tip: Order a bottle of bubbles from Vuda Bar and we shall deliver it to Ocean Play with glasses and an ice bucket.
Cloudbreak Surf Experience
Considered one of the top 10 surf breaks in the world, Cloudbreak is situated over a shallow coral reef, making it very challenging for surfers. Only around 1 hour by speedboat from VOMO, we have access to Cloudbreak for advanced surfers or Swimming Pools/Namotu Lefts. Preference is for guests to bring their own surfboards; however, hire boards are available if booked in advance.

- Cloud 9 Add-On (3 to 4 hours): $750
VOMO Tip: Add on a stopover at Cloud 9 and enjoy refreshments at this spectacular nearby pontoon. Cloud 9 is a standalone operation separate to VOMO. Please confirm pricing and inclusions with the Ocean Play team prior to booking as they are subject to seasonal change.

Blue Lagoon Caves
Spend the day cruising from VOMO to the northern Yasawa Islands, home of the famous Blue Lagoon. Swim through the world-renowned Saw-I-Lau caves where the Blue Lagoon movie was filmed in the 1980s. There will be a stopover along the way to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch served on a secluded beach.

Flite Board Fun
Find your freedom and fly over the water on an electronic battery powered hydrofoil board or eFoil. Fast, quiet and so much fun, the relatively still waters of VOMO are the perfect environment to try this fast growing sport.

Coral Gene Bank
Visit our underwater sculptural coral gene bank, an art installation located off the shores of VOMO on our house reef. Collaborating with Counting Coral, a non-profit focused on the restoration and protection of coral reefs, we attach and monitor hardy species of coral that can withstand warmer waters and harsh conditions. Attracting a variety of sealife, the sculpture is gradually becoming home to species of fish and corals. You can visit the Coral Gene Bank on a snorkel safari or dive with Ocean Play and learn more about how this structure was installed, how the corals were harvested and transplanted and how they are growing and being monitored.

Your Journey, Your Schedule. Book a private session to greet the day* with calm clarity, or unwind at sunset before the stars arrive. Sessions begin at 60 minutes, with custom packages available for multiple visits or group retreats.
